Overview
Welcome everyone to Summer Jamboree Dance Camp 2007 as we return for a second year from Saturday August 18th - Wednesday August 22nd!

This Swing Dance Camp is held in Senigallia, Italy on the beautiful, sizzling and spectacular Adriatic Coast. Known to the Italians as the Riviera Adriatica, this coastal area is a hot spot for European vacationers. Uniquely, this camp will coincide with the music festival called Summer Jamboree running from August 19-26. This festival is loaded with great 50's swing and rock n' roll bands, and our fabulous dance events are coordinated to run collaboratively with it. We are eagerly anticipating this exciting Swing Dance Camp certain to be filled with great dancing, lively music, delicious cuisine, gregarious people, warm sunshine, and picturesque beaches all on the spectacular Adriatic Riviera.

Our full camp schedule includes 5 days of swing dance classes, parties, dinners and endless collaborative events with the Summer Jamboree festival. We will be offering multiple classes per day by world class dance instructors. In addition, we will will feature a performance class that our camp will demonstrate live in downtown Senigallia.

Details

The Finis Africae Hotel will host the dance classes and will be our central registration location for all our camp attendees. This charming and stylish hotel is located just minutes from the downtown beaches and complete music festivities. Those who purchase the full camp package will be eligible for a special hotel rate at the Finis Africae. Please see the accommodations section for further information about the Finis Africae and how you can reserve a hotel room today.

Our camp members dinner and late night welcome party will be held at the Cajun Restaurant downtown and at our main camp hotel the Finis Africae. Each day your classes will run from morning to afternoon and when classes are not running, you will get to visit the stunning beaches, touring around the historical Senigallia and surrounding areas, or participate in all the music activities organized by Summer Jamboree. Every night there will be concerts and dancing in downtown Senigallia some going late into the early morning hours.

Also at the Finis Africae Hotel and included for our dance camp members, will be our late night dance party. Our current line up of dance instructors includes world class couples like Marcus & Barbl from Germany and Vincenzo & Isabella from Italy. Please note that online Registration for our camp will open in March 2007.

Getting Around

Most of the downtown locations are within walking distance of each other. The hotel is a bit further but still walkable to downtown. Therefore, for our camp members, we will also be providing van service at certain times from downtown Senigallia to the Afris Africae such as during special events and music parties. Also, if you wish to be very independent, you can rent bicycles or scooters during your stay.

The History

Our camp is a result of a collaboration between the music festival founders and the principal dance teachers. After participating (The dance instructors) for years at the music festival in Senigallia, we decided that the right moment had arrived to launch a dance camp. This year 2007 will be our second time around and we hope you can join us!
